I wanted to share my experience with the Amby Bed. My son Gunnar was born with a condition called cranial synostosis. This means that he was born with part of his skull fused which gave him a very odd head shape (from the top it looked like a football) This made it very hard for him to sleep.
I tried everything…sleeping in his car seat, in my arms, surrounded by pillows, cutting out part of his mattress…nothing worked. He would only sleep about 1.5 hours. You can imagine that we were both very exhausted!
When he was 9 weeks old I found the amby bed online and ordered it. It was a miracle!!! He slept 4 hours immediately after putting him in the bed and soon after he was sleeping 8 hours at night…it was heaven!! He slept there until he was almost 8 months old and then started to try to climb out so he graduated to a crib. By that time he had had his surgery so his head shape was corrected. He is now 3 years old and has slept through the night everynight since he was 4 months old.
I now have a daughter Lucy who is 9 weeks old. She is sleeping in the Amby now and just last night slept 10.5 hours in a row! Pretty impressive from a breast fed newborn. I am attaching pictures of each of them sleeping away in their Amby Bed. I tell everyone about the Amby and encourage them all to use it…best investment I ever made.
